Testimonials

January 2012

Our organization is so fortunate that it chose Talley Management, and particularly you, to serve their association! As the kudos continue, it speaks to the character and integrity that you and your entire staff exhibit every day. Working for a management company myself makes me truly appreciate your role and how difficult it is. I only wish that I had more time to dedicate while serving on the  Board. It was a truly rewarding experience. Every association executive should serve on a board once in a while to gain a further understanding and appreciation of what it’s like on the other side. I highly  valued the experience serving on the  Board will continue to do whatever is needed as a member volunteer.

June 2011

I want to thank you so very much for doing such a wonderful job with the 10th International Symposium.  Without you it would never have become the success it was. I am so very, very happy about that, as you may understand. It was a true pleasure to work with you.

"I just wanted to say THANK YOU for putting on such a nice AGLF Conference last week.

Without you two, there is no way that we, as members, could put it all together, nor could we do it as well.

You really made my job as co-chair so much easier, which allowed me to focus more on the panels, and for that I am very thankful."

"But before too much time elapsed, I did want to acknowledge and thank you for your superb management of every detail of our 2010 APSARD Symposium. Throughout our months of planning, you managed to keep our team's focus on our main goals, even when we surely made you feel as if you were trying to herd cats. And your on-site event management was better than any I have ever seen!”
"Of course, since I probably would be the world's worst event manager, it hadn't even dawned on me that, when we chose to have a "two-track" meeting, it would result in twice the audio-visual headaches, twice the number of complaints about the temperature of the (two) rooms, and twice the number of traffic patterns to worry about. I hadn't realized (until I heard applause emanating from the room next door, 5 minutes after our second speaker began his lecture) that we would need to maintain our schedule not only for the timing of coffee breaks and lunch, but also, for synchronizing the start and end times for each talk in both tracks, so that participants who wanted to move from one room to another would not lose the first or last minutes of their next talk! This may all have been driving you completely to distraction, but I would never have guessed it, from your calm demeanor, your ability to remember and address even the most trivial of requests (including several of mine), and your ability to make everything look seamlessly perfect. My father-in-law, who was an Army colonel and tank commander in World War II, has an expression that always has been one of my favorites: "The Impossible just takes a little longer." Clearly, you also are of the "Nothing-is-Impossible School of Facilitation," and I was tremendously impressed!”

"So, for all of these things and more, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! You managed to make APSARD look great, and I hope that your organization, as well as ours, will eventually be the beneficiaries of your extraordinary efforts!”

"As Chairperson and on behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your staff for your continued level of service and quality.

Ours is a unique business with unique personalities. [Talley staff members] have truly taken an interest in the industry we represent and continually seek to find opportunities to make [our organization] a success.

We look forward to another great year with Talley and expect that as the market improves the Association will be stronger than ever.

Although this year may prove to again be a challenge for us as far as membership and net income, we cannot thank you enough for the effort, dedication and focus provided by Talley. I know that there are additional staff members behind the scenes and appreciate their efforts as well.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committe, please accept our sincere thanks for the efforts put forth by the Talley team!"

"Thank you all for a very successful day at the CIC Council and Board meetings. Together we have come a long way from June, 2008!

In recognition of the job and the results that the TMG Team and Karen, in particular, has produced, I wanted to alert you that the Board unanimously voted to promote Karen Kotowski to CIC's CEO title from COO.

When CIC moved to TMG in June 2008 we intentionally left that title vacant until we saw what the new structure and team would look like. Both Gregg and Tina had executive titles for us and then they searched for a day-to-day COO. Karen joined the CIC team in December 2008 and hit the ground running. Karen has built her team and worked tirelessly on our behalf in moving all of the CIC initiatives and programs forward significantly in her 16 months with us.

Our strategic discussion did touch on the "face" of CIC and we all agreed that it needed to be our-day-to-day Chief Staff Executive. That person is Karen. We felt it was important for Karen to have the title and recognition of the job she serves for us in working with all of our stakeholders. Gregg remains our Chief Strategy Executive.

Please join us in congratulating Karen on what she has and will continue to do for CIC as our CEO!"
