TMG Senior Management Team


Lisa Astorga, CMP, Associate Director of Meeting and Conventions, brings over 9 years of Association and Corporate Meeting planning experience. This experience includes the ability to plan and produce Domestic as well as International meetings with attendees ranging from 100-50,000. Specific areas of expertise include budget and financial management and coordination with Planning Committees and Vendors. As Associate Director of Meetings and Conventions her primary responsibility is as Project Manager to the 2006 Cancer and Tobacco Control Conferences produced by the American Cancer Society. In addition she is currently working with the International Society for Travel Medicine and the Association for Research in Otolaryngology.

Ms. Astorga is currently active and a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) as well as Local and Community Programs.

Charles L. Sapp, CPA, Director of Headquarters Division,
brings a unique combination of experiences and skills to our association management team.  Sapp has over fifteen years of experience working with complex association management structures and related services.  As a practicing licensed, certified public accountant he brings years of experience in the financial, tax and audit issues facing today’s not-for-profits.

Sapp has specialization in strategic planning, operational and financial management, and process improvement in all areas of operations of the not-for-profit entity.  This experience culminated in the successful strategic planning, design, and implementation of a federation of not-for-profits that improved member service and fiscal strength to a number of research based not-for-profits under his care.  Applying these experiences and accomplishments to the needs of the individual member and association is evident at every level of his association management style.

Tina Wehmeir
, Managing Partner, DC Office, Most recently, Wehmeir served as Vice President of Marketing for Clarion Management Resources in Alexandria, Virginia.  Prior to joining Clarion, Wehmeir served as the Executive Director for the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC), where she helped create a unified marketing strategy to maximize the exposure of CTC’s participating partners in the U.S. market. She has also served as the Vice President of Industry Relations for Gaylord Hotels as well as Executive Director of Regional Sales Offices for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts and various sales and marketing positions with Loews Hotels. Tina currently serves on the board of PCMA.
