In May, TMG announced its a new joint venture with the an award-winning firm, plan it! that specializes in conference and event planning; association management and consulting; and loyalty and engagement strategies. TMG and plan it! have been working together to enhance and expand the association management services available to new or existing Indian associations and global organizations wishing to grow the Indian market, creating Vraata. As anyone can imagine, this has been a very exciting time for both partners as we’ve had the chance to watch this concept become a reality.
Initially introduced at the IMEX Frankfurt Show, we had the chance to talk to many individuals about what the vision was and how Vraata can support both US and international associations who are seeking to expand into India. The last few months have been great with several associations already contacting Vraata to engage and expand their efforts within the Indian sub-continent.
After seeing success begin to grow with Vraata, TMG realized that with over 30 years of association management experience, there was yet another opportunity for us to continue to expand the AMC model.
TMG works with groups that span multiple industries, including medical, financial, construction/engineering and technology. Our 45+ employees provide great service to our clients and build lasting partnerships-and not just in the US-we have a knack for taking it around the world, too.
It was precisely that international work that showed us the untapped potential for associations in places like India, where society and government are increasingly seeing the value of organizations that serve the public and advance industries. When we began to develop our concept, we realized that while we had global knowledge and expertise, we needed local connections within the countries that we were expanding in and we knew exactly which India-based partner we wanted to expand with.
Plan it! has been a trusted PCO in India since 1977. We had already had great success working on other events together and not only do they have experience and connections, but the same family-owned model that keeps culture at the top of their mind. It was a no-brainer.
So, what are we doing now? Vraata continues to focus on bringing the association management company model to India by working with individuals and groups to start their associations. In addition, we are helping established US and international associations to expand operations; launch a subsidiary; or partner with an established association within India.
We have more to tell you, but this is a blog post not a novel.
If you want more (and hear our big announcement!), we will be at the annual ASAE Meeting and Exposition, come visit TMG and Vraata at booth 1806. We’re still accepting appointments, but they are filling quickly so book yours now if you’d like to have an in-depth conversation with our experts.
Let’s go global!
