As you can probably tell, we are excited about 2017 being TMG’s 30th Anniversary. We have been spending time both on the blog and internally reflecting on where we have come over the last three decades, while also looking forward to what is in store for TMG.
As we continue with the idea of looking to the future, TMG has done some great updates to our home, the Old Mount Royal Schoolhouse. For those of you who are not aware, our office is a 95+ year old schoolhouse. Renovated about 20 years ago by the Talley Family, it continues to serve as the HQ for TMG.
This month we finished off the installation of a new Training Facility. This flexible space not only provides our team with a training room, but also a new meeting space. In addition, TMG’s Client-Partners now have a new space for Board and Committee Meetings. In both the new Training Facility and our Main Conference Room TMG has incorporated brand new Audio Visual equipment as well.
Having such a historic office building comes with its unique issues. It has been great to watch the space transform, while keeping its charm. One of those transformations is a new entry way for our guests as well as updated bathrooms. The improvements have provided a more modern space that still fits with our old-school charm.
Let’s not forget about the outside, Thanks to Joe Morris, we now have a beautiful pergola outside hovering over our main picnic table. Talley has just implemented the TMG Horticultural Society to expand on the area and include a beautiful walkway, florals and even a harvest garden that our employees can benefit from. TMG Horticultural Society plans to start with herbs and a few fall plants this year. Stay tuned for updates on how this evolves!
TMG sent a few team members to the Mid-Atlantic Society for Association Executives conference in Philadelphia, where our own Heather Seasholtz, TMG’s Director of Meetings and Events, and Joseph Sapp, CAE, Associate Director, Association Management Services, lent their expertise on topics including social media and useful content for your association.
To round out the month, we would like to thank the Marriott for stopping by to help us celebrate 30 years. We can’t wait to see what July has in store for us!
The International Society for Extracellular Vesicles just hit over 1000 members for the first time in history!
The AIC Constructor Certification Commission Chairman Roger Liska is visiting the TMG Team this month in the Mount Royal Office.
American Headache Society hit record attendance with 998 attendees at the 59th Annual Scientific Meeting at the beginning of the month. The meeting also included their largest exhibit hall ever with 37 exhibiting companies and 65 booths – congratulations AHS!
