TMG Announces Changes to its Senior Leadership as 2020 Comes to a Close

Talley's Director of Association Management Services will step away from the management team to focus solely on a position as Executive Director for one of our client partners.

Talley Management Group, Inc. (TMG), a prominent association management company dedicated to creating stronger communities and human connections to enhance global society for over 30 years, announces a change in its senior leadership staffing model that will be implemented next month. As of November 1, TMG Director of Association Management Services (AMS) Chuck Sapp, CAE will take a step back from his corporate management responsibilities, shifting his focus toward client management, solely as the Executive Director for a current TMG client partner.

“Chuck has been with TMG for almost 15 years, leading the AMS division while providing invaluable leadership to our teams and client partners,” said TMG Chief Executive Officer Gregg H. Talley, FASAE, CAE. “Joining TMG after leading the Federation of Animal Science Societies, Chuck has worked directly with all TMG full-service association client partners, providing strategic guidance and serving as a key management liaison. He is an integral part of our TMG family and while I am saddened to see him step down from our Senior Leadership Team, I am grateful to have him stay on and give his full attention to one client partner.”

As Sapp makes the transition to Executive Director, Ethan Gray, CAE will move into the role of Director of Association Management Services. Ethan has spent his prior two years with TMG as the Associate Director of AMS. He has already provided TMG and its client partners with a wealth of knowledge and experience within the industry.

Chuck offers a unique combination of experiences and skills to the TMG association management team. For more than 20 years, Chuck has worked with complex association management structures and related services. As a registered, Certified Public Accountant, he is well versed in the financial, tax, and audit issues facing today’s nonprofits. In addition, Chuck is also a Certified Association Executive and has specialization in operational and financial management and process improvement in all areas of operations of the not-for-profit entity. His extensive experience in governance development in times of change with multiple organizations, both domestic and international in focus is regularly called upon by the diverse associations that TMG represents. Applying these accomplishments to the needs of the individual member and association is evident at every level of his association management style.

An Illinois native, Chuck is an avid Chicago Cubs fan, evident by the name of his beloved Golden Doodle, Maddux, named for former Cubs pitcher, Greg Maddux. Chuck now resides in South Jersey with his wife Jane.

Talley finished saying, “In a year that has proven to be anything but great, we are happy to share this news related to the future of TMG!”
